I'm 23 and just 3 weeks ago decided on a nite out that I'd accept the offer given to me by Miss Dixon to head off travelling, see the sun and sites!!!! I'm off in 6 days, Stephen's morning, I cannot wait!

Christchurch, NZ...last stop for the moment!!!

25th March - 2nd April 2008
Ok so we've been here almost 3 weeks now and as far as the backpacker scene goes we haven't done any of it! Its just nice to settle in one place, empty out your rucksack and stop the moving about and being busy all the time for a while!
We stayed in a hostel "The Old Country House" for the first week until Brian arrived and until we got a house or apartment sorted! Finally after collecting Brian who was a week behind us to New Zealand we accepted our lovely big house in Avonhead not far from Christchurch City.
Before Brian arrived, myself Sarah and Scott had a great night out in the City and also did the scenic drive from Lyttleton across the mountains! It blew us all away!!! New Zealand or at least so far, Christchurch, is one of the most beautiful places you could imagine!!! The city is a city but 5 minutes outside the city you have beautiful coasts, beaches, countryside and mountains. Its spectacular!!!
Everything else in between has been around the city, eating and getting to know the place!
2nd April to 16th April 2008
The house: Its a gorgeous 3 double bedroom house with 2 living rooms and a nice big garage etc! Lots of space for the 4 of us! I took a rental car out for a few days as did Sarah and Scott, Sarah got a celica and I bought a V6 MX3 to get us out and about!
I bought a guitar in the big pawn shop on Ferry Road in the city! Finally!!!
Brians cousin Dermot and his girlfriend stayed with us for 2 nights. They've been travelling in a camper van and are heading to Oz and then Thailand afterwards. They stayed for a few drinks and then hit the road!
So we are properly settled in. Brian's been interviewing, Scott started a job on Monday and myself and Sarah, well we're still not ready to get serious yet! Sarah's brother is arriving on Friday 18th...Andy and Henno, and they are staying for a month so that should be a bit of craic!
Other than that its been in and out of town or Riccarton picking up clothes, shopping for food and internetting, going for lunch or lazing about!
There is just so much to do but its great to enjoy doing absolutely nothing for a while! You can surf, mountain walk, paraglide, go whale and dolphin watching, skiing, snowboarding, and so much more here! They have the Antartic experience here also which enables you to experience an antartic blizzard etc....so i'm sure over the next few weeks we will have lots more to fill you in on!!!
Gotta get working soon so I can build back up the travellers funds but I'm doing NZ lotto just in case!
Will hopefully update again soon!
