I am taking alittle time off to enjoy Europe. I love to travel and I like the idea that I can upload pictures, and movies, to friends and family from around the world. I can also keep in touch with them through this great service! That means more travel time for me!

Phoenix, United States - That week in Hawaii
Wow I can not believe it has been over a year since that week in Hawaii! I would have blogged about it, but to be honest it was kinda Scandalous, I'll leave it at that. By my current picture, you can guess where I am going next. Feels strange not to go to Europe this year. I miss my apartment in Rome so bad my heart almost breaks. Blue Of course it could be the guys I miss. Guess I should habve taken that marriage proposal when I was there! Cheesy I'll back another time, maybe next time for good.Wink

Phoenix, United States - Home Again Home Again
Well Kim and I got upgraded on the flight home. Mental note to always do that. I slept for 12 hours after I got home at midnight, damn Chicago Airport. And I remembered that I left my wallet in the safe at the hotel. I should hopefully be getting it soon.

Well off for my massage!

I think Saint Pattys day in Ireland sounds good! Cool

Copenhagen, Denmark - Look out for that BIKE!
Well all I can say is what a fast city. We are staying the night and I can tell we are going to have a great time the next two days. we walked all over the city today and went to the Hard Rock for dinner. I know I know I wanted to go to a cafe but Kim was not up for that. It is kind of expensive here but I really like the fact that I see young punks, literaly, walking all over the city. Makes me feel good, and kinda old. We took a hop on hop off tour today and went to the little mermaid. It was packed with people just taking pictures and walking away. We hung in the park for a bit and I had great ice cream! It was nice not to be rushed in and rushed out. It was funny when we saw several MSC and Celebrity tour groups rushed in then taken away. THANK GOD that was not us. On our walk about we saw "the family" it was so funny. We just kicked back in "the square" people watching. It was very relaxing, or was that the beer? Wink

Well long flight tomorrow and I could use some sleep.

I'm out.Cool

Visby, Sweden - Visby, what a great town!
Well we are leaving Visby and it is the last day of the cruise. Ifeel like I have been gone for at least 10 days!

It has been non stop tours and WALKING!

Visby lived up to everything I expected it to be. It would be a place I can see my spending time. I tryed to email after Helsinki yesterday but the computer was sp slow then we went to dinner.

Soooo. Visby, Nordic, charming and very green. The people are cahrming and all was great till it started to rain. Kim and I saw the midevil side, this included a bus ride and an hour and a half walk through the city. I have tons of pictures!

We were able to avoid the annoying family that has been plaguing us on many of our tours. At on point I thought Kim was going to go off onm them. Kim is a very mild tempered person this says a lot. When we got back to the ship they had this great spread of food waiting for us with a Viking ice scul;pture and a swan sculpture, I trook a pic of the swan for you mom.

I stayed on deck and talked to some great folks that like to cruise. THey have been a great pair of smart asses to hang out with, just like m,e and Kim. And they are from NY, who would have known! Well I am off to see the show. It is our last night and I already packed my stuff. Blue

But I miss everyone and can't wait to get back in my own bed, dont miss the temp though it is around 68 here!

Took an ambian lasdt night and guess what, it did not work. I cant wait for my massage on MONDAY and my own bed!!!!

Love ya!

Helsinki, Finland - Helsinki!
WHAT A COOL PLACE!!! This was one of the coolest places we have been! We went on a city tour and then there was a concert for us at the opera house. Man it was WONDERFUL! There are so many parks a nd cool markets. After the concert and tour Kim and I went down to the local market by the pier and jus thung out at an open air cafe. The smell of the fish took me back! I got flashes of AMSTERDAMN!!!! Fish everywhere, people eating fish, I was about to puke! IT was nice just sitting there talking with Kim and enjoying the sunny day in Finland. We did not go to the busy shopping district as neither of us are much shoppers, STOP LAUGHING. Everything was expensive because they are on the Euro. I forgot to bring mine from home or otherwise I would have been ok. We had to look for an Otto, ATM, so I could get some cash. All worked out and hada great meal in the Compass Rose dining Room when we came back on board. I am out for now. I am very tired and it is hard gettting sleep. You always feel like you need to be awake since it is light out. I CANT WAIT FOR DARK NIGHTS!!!!

St. Petersburg, Russia - Well taking off from Russia
Well we left today and the we beat the rain. We are now off to Finland. Another tour in the morning, walking tour and concert after.

Today we did a canal cruise that took all around the city it was very cool to see different things. We saw the Bloody Church so many times it became THE BLOODY CHURCH. There were tons of weddings going on in the city since we got there. IT is said that for every bride you see you have 1 year of good luck, so 10 years from now I will not have the luck anymore. We also went to the place were they tried to kill Rasputian today. It was weird and creepy. But all in all a nice palace.

We got lost in the Hermitage? We had to ask one of the baboshga's that work there how to get out, they were happy to show us! So Kim and I walked around a little on our own in St. Petersburgh. Glad we did not get asked by the police if we had visa's as we had no liquer to bribe them with.

Really tired so I will do this again tomorrow. Damn it messes with you when it is 9:30 at night and it still bright out. But I am going to bed now no matter what! Of course it could be hte Maheato kicking in! Cool I have to be fresh in the morning. Oh by the way we just passed a lot of ships just hanging out in the water, weird Russians. Well it is a Navel factory and graveyard, EKKKKK.

Love to everyone! Suzi I could not find a music box in Russia but have not given up. Trust me that was the #1 thing on my list to look for.

Love you all! Cheesy

Moscow, Russia - MOSCOW!!!
They did a charter for the 100 passengers that cam to Moscow. It is was the MOST interesting flight from St. Petersburg to Moscow, to say the least the flight back was surprising. As soon as we landed 5 seats around me fell flat! It freaked me out but we laugh about it now. Our tour guide in Moscow said it costs $300 for a drivers license, it cost her bottle of Jack Daniels! Plus when you get pulled over then you just ask How Much? and they say two tickets to the Bolshoi that would the picture on the 100 Rubles bill.
Red Square was closed but it was cool to have some free time to walk around the city on our own. I took some great video and pictures. I wish I would have got the seats falling, it was great! The police escort to and from the airport in both cities was cool, got pics!

This was the most wonderful experience. All I could thin about was great grandpa here? Did he travel the same roads I did? It was awesome to think that he could have been in the same place that I standing at one pint. This is has really put me in touch with my heritage. I also got info on how to track his back ground. I asked the guides.

All and all it was really cool and I am so glad that I came, I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD, my dream makers!

St. Petersburg, Russia - From Russia with Love!
Wel lKim and are in St. Petersburg. We went to two palces today, one Bloody church, and onr Fortress. We took a city tour along with that. Had lunch in the Grand Hotel Europa, it is rocked. Nine hours of off and on the bus, picturesd versus video (tons of video and I took so many pictures my battery died!), and finally we are POOOOPED! So much so we blew of the ballet. We are heading to Moscow tomorrow nad need every second of sleep. It is rweally different here, I'll tell you when I get back since there is MUCH to explain. The eastern block is cool but you will not catch me moving here. I can hear you all cheering from there now.

Tallin was great the peopl are really nice and we got to see what the Soviets left behind, housing wise, for them to deal with.

Off to Red Square tomorrow, I'll be back! Wink

Tallin, Estonia - I am in Estonia
Well I am in Tallin! This is a cute little city that is raining on us! The ship is wonderful and the service is amazing. Sweden is soooo pretty. I can see why it is a city and country that people want to live in!

WE are going to a palace that was built for Peter the Great. It was built for his wife Cathrine the Great. After that we are going into the old part on Tallin. I bought some local currency this morning and some Rubels.

The service on the ship is amazing and I feel spolied. As Kim and I did not sleep at all on the way over we were up for over 30 hours! But, we slept for 11 hours last night. I feel totaly refreshed and ready to take on Russia tomorrow and all the walking. I have already taken tons of pictures and video.

Loving it here and will write again.

Love to everyone!
