Monday 19 May
Ararat, Armenia

Armenia, what's happened?

We went to the foot of Mt. Ararat by bus today. (8 km, border to Turkey)
It is 50 km from Yerevan, Armenia.
Mt. Ararat is on your left (lower mountain) in the picture I sent.
We spent three hours just sitting and watching the mountain.
As you see the area is flat (stepp) and continues to Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Israel.
I was day dreaming about Noah, the flood, Bible stories and those who left this area with the Exile Israel to the east.

I noticed as I sat here couple of hours, the area began just looking like the Sisters in Bend, Oregon.
I thought then, it is people that makes history distinguishable, not the place.
Armenian people look very dipressed while the Iranian (last vist) were't.

As you imagine, Iranian are a lot more restricted and poor than Armenian.
We saw No-home less people in Iran but here in Armenia.
I have to rest on this subject because I feel there must be another big reason.

The happiness is not based on ones wealth, then..
