Prague, Czech Republic
Magnetic fields!!
Day 1 - after sitting on the tram for about 30 minutes and thinking that Prague is a lot more 'rural', poor, far less English speakers than we thought and third world compared to what we were imagining, Anna and I arrived at the end of the tram line to work out that yes we'd gone the wrong way and we need to take the tram the entire journey back into town
Day 2 - thinking we now the ropes of catching the trams after our experience yesterday, we jumped on the no. 12 today to head to the Castle and again found ourselves heading out of town....don't worry this time it only took us about 10 mins before we realised!!
The amazing city of Prague certainly has a few operating magnetic fields....Anna and I are generally pretty good wtih directions and haven't got lost yet however this magnetic field in Prague is certainly working it's magic on us!!
On our first journey we actually met some Americans who had purposedly decided to take the tram to the end of the line just for the journey!! Anyway after them discovering that we were from Melbourne - they proceeded to tell us that they know one family in Melbourne - the 'Kerrs' -who own a farm and they full on believed that we would know their friends. We kindly informed them that Kerr was not an uncommon name and that there are actually quite a lot of people in Melbourne!! Don't you love the yanks!!
