Shinkansen around

Arrived in Takayama from Hiroshima today with enough time for an afternoon walk, some dinner and a bath. We'll be here for two nights before heading back to Tokyo. It's a small, pleasant historical city and we hope to have a look at some of the sites tomorrow. Our ryokan / minshuku is very a lovely family inn with tatami matting and great baths.
