Rainforest

Went to see the local rain forest this morning. Apparently Oz has lost 80% of its rainforest since the Europeans arrived! Luckily all of the remaining forest is in National Parks like the one I visited today...

The forest was pretty and the sounds from the 100 varieties of bird in there were really atmospheric... no snakes though, they hibernate in Winter. Its been a tad chilly here over the past few days and today was no exception, although it got REALLY cold in the shade of the rainforest! Lucky I have the ol hoody. There werent any animals on show today though on account of the temperature. Queensland should have plenty more to see in the rainforest/wildlife area when I get there since its a lot warmer!

Im off tommorrow.. not sure where yet, possibly inland a bit... Ill update ye when I get to the next net access point!
