Roraima Day 4

Today we spent walking around the top of Roraima which was made up of lots of unusual dark rock formations and clusters of carnivorous plants found no where else on earth. There were areas covered in thousands of quartz crystals and many pools of water with black frogs around them. The views over the edge were amazing and it was strange to be looking down on the clouds. Riley took us to several viewpoints and the highest part of the mountain where we carefully crawled towards the edge on all fours and stuck our heads over to see the massive sheer drop below. Eventually we headed back to camp via the Jacuzzi pools and had more rum and chocolate. As there was nothing to do as none of us had wanted the extra weight of books or cards, we all played 20 questions until the game was interrupted by an amazing thunder storm.
