Last Entry!!!

Mixed emotions today!! Tommorrow morning I fly back home, which I am looking forward to as it will be great to see everyone, but it is also sad in a way that my travels have come to an end.
The last few days since the trip to Cape Tribulation have been pretty relaxing, just spending the time chilling by the lagoon and catching the last few rays of sunshine before heading back to the cold of England. I did go quad biking which was brilliant fun, I was in a group with 3 chinese people, one older guy who owns a chinese restaurant and bottle shop in Sydney (he's invited me for a free dinner and a free beer, nice chap!!) and 2 kids that were the sons of his friend. Even though they had never done it before they were not to bad, except the one kid who couldn't get to grips with it all, I kept having to pull him out of deep puddled or drag him away from a tree he hit. So at the end of the ride, the owner took me out on mky own for some faster action, Great laugh and a good fun end to the trip.

So as for my trip as a whole, it's been great and worth spending all that money, I have no regrets at all about doing it. I think if I was to do it again, I wouldn't go on my own, it would be nice to have someone to share the whole experience with. But saying that I have met some great people in every country I've been to which, you may not do so much if your with someone else. I would also save more money for the Australian leg of the trip. This country is so much more expensive than I expected and having spent 8 months in Asia where it is so cheap, I got used to spending and buying whatever I wanted and not worrying about it, but it soon became clear that I would have to be much more careful with the cash over here. Although I haven't missed out on anything (the credit card took a bit of a canning in the last few days).
Oh well, suppose I better go pack. See you all in the next few days and thanks for your interest in my trip. If you want my advice, you'll get out and do the same one day, you certainly don't have to be on your gap year when you do it, there are all ages, shapes, sizes and colours out there, so don't think that a trip like this is just for the students, thats bull!!! The world is so much more interesting than your own front door step, so go see it. It's an awesome place!!!!
