Arrived in Cairns
Well what can I say? I decided to zoom ahead and have arrived in Cairns.
I passed through Mission Beach, but didnt see anything really worth stopping for (although admittedly it IS a nice beach).
I also passed by Paronela Park which seems interesting but I was too late to do a tour... this left me with no choice, so I had to sprint off in the car to find a parking space in Cairns before the sun goes down.
Ill acquaint myself with the town (more like a city!) when I get a chance tommorrow, but first impressions are that it is really rather more laid-back than I was expecting (though admittedly very touristy!)
More tommorrow... by the way the car now drives like a dream with its fresh service! Wahay!
